HOW IT WORKS
Signing in and connecting a calendar serve different jobs.
The account owner approves read-only calendar permissions. During onboarding, available calendar metadata is read so the operator can explicitly select an allowlist.
Separate Google sign-in verifies identity. The server checks household membership and calendar visibility before returning an agenda.
Choose permitted calendars and dates. The viewer retrieves events without writing changes to Google Calendar.
Google’s read-only consent can cover calendar lists and events beyond the calendars selected in this app. The app separately enforces its server-side allowlist and viewer permissions. That allowlist does not narrow the Google OAuth grant itself.
